It has been said that without understanding the past, we are unable to understand ourselves, for the past still lives in us and influences who are today. The same is true regarding the Christian faith. “History of Christianity” is a 6-week course that presents an overview of the history of Christianity from the early church to the current age of Global Christianity with the purpose of providing insights into the past that will help us understand elements of our faith today and enhance our spiritual growth as a follower of Christ in the 21st century.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality? How would Jesus respond to same-sex marriage and transgender identity? What should the church promote, inclusion or exclusion? These are some of the important questions we will tackle in the 4-week class “LBGTQ and the Chrisitan faith. Join as we have difficult but necessary conversations on how to view the inclusion of persons who are gay, lesbian, transgender, or otherwise nonconforming to traditional roles.
